A large group is currently approaching! We can be curious about the scoring.

Due to the warm air influence and the high shielding, the flying conditions turn out to be quite challenging. Some pilots had to land again and claimed a 2nd tow. Others with engines also had to restart again in the air.

The cloud base on the Swabian Alb is currently at max. 1500 meters above sea level. That is not very much, if you subtract the altitude of the Alb. Furthermore, in the online tracking you can see the east wind influence at altitude, which strongly sets the aircraft back on their course to the 1st turning point at each circle.

All in all - as already predicted - it will be a very challenging flight for our pilots.

Slowly the sun starts to break through the loose cloud cover.

We continue to struggle with humid air mass from the south, which will slowly move into our competition area. The west is forecast to have a lower cloud base and worse thermal conditions than the east. However, the various temps in the east for the afternoon show an increasing unstable air mass that may lead to isolated showers and thunderstorms.
