Description: Fw 44J Werk Nr. 1904 was built by Focke-Wulf Flugzeugbau AG, Bremen in November 1936. It was delivered to the Swedish Air Force in January 1937. After a 13 year training role, it was sold to Värmlands Flygklubb in 1950 and flew as SE-BRZ until 1966 when it was donated to Gillstad Museum near Göteborg, Sweden. After the museum ceased trading in 2006, it languished in and out of storage until 2012 when it was bought by Richard Menage from York, Great Britain. Then began a 3,500 hour restoration by Richard and retired engineer Henry Tuke which took just over 5 years.
