We're not releasing much information at the moment. Why is that?

A lot of organizational work is currently underway in the background. There are numerous discussions on topics such as parking, security services, grounds, security concepts, insurance, and much more.

 

Furthermore, many things need to be procured – for example, entry wristbands, barrier tape, safety vests, vehicles, shuttle services, etc.

 

We're also continuing to work on the participant side. And we can already reveal this much: Some great surprises await us!

 

Of course, this also means that more news will be published soon. So don't worry – there's still a lot to come. But only when everything is finalized.

 

 

 

 

The OTT25  thrives on diversity. Anyone looking at the list of participants will agree that there's something for almost everyone.

 

But of course, we also have our limits. Some aircraft simply no longer exist, others can't land at our tranquil spot due to limited space.

 

To expand our offerings to those who see one or another aircraft type underrepresented or even completely missing it, we have developed a completely new augmented reality (AR) glasses concept in collaboration with Lirpa Tech, a startup spin-off from the orbit of a well-known AI development sector. Using a lens set for the glasses specially ground for wide-angle experiences, it is now possible to add aircraft of your choice to virtually the entire flight line as a "mixed reality experience." But that's not all. A new audio technology that recreates engine start-ups and takeoff runs with a deceptively realistic soundscape through superimposed Doppler effects completes the impressive experience. Display demonstrations are not yet possible, but everyone is currently working hard on a small test version for flight demonstrations, which we will be making available to our visitors as part of the OTT. However, we cannot yet say whether this will be ready in time for the OTT.

 

The whole experience is rounded off by a smart connection to the OTT app, which is used to operate the headset and select the desired aircraft. However, we cannot offer this highlight completely free of charge. 125 headsets will initially be made available for the OTT25. They can be rented over the weekend for €142.25.

Dear friends and visitors of OTT25,

 

It has actually always been a tradition at Hahnweide that on Saturdays and Sundays, you could view the aircraft directly on the airfield or on the flight line from 7:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.

 

Unfortunately, in 2019, we repeatedly encountered visitors walking between the aircraft with backpacks, etc., and touching them. This simply isn't acceptable.

 

We have therefore decided not to open the flight line in 2025. Pilots have also rightly expressed the wish not to allow this. Otherwise, we would have to place a steward at each aircraft, which is unfortunately not possible.

 

We realize that many will be disappointed and that we will receive angry emails or comments.

 

We ask you to respect this decision for the safety of the pilots and aircraft.

 

 

A beautiful day with impressive flight demonstrations is coming to an end. The sun has already disappeared behind the horizon. My legs are aching a bit, now it's time to head to the tent and have some dinner. But wait, there's still something missing, goosebumps missing again! It's a magical moment, and for many, an emotional one, when everyone on Hahnweide looks up and suddenly everything falls silent. Then you hear the music and the dance of the two Blaniks begins. Anyone who was there in 2016 or 2019 will surely understand what we mean.

 

We want to offer everyone else the same experience this year. That's why we're delighted that the Blanix team will be there again in 2025, so we can conclude the day of flying together.

 

Flights are planned for Friday and Saturday after sunset.
