Dear friends ,

with deep dismay we heard yesterday afternoon from the death of Marc "Leon" Mathis. He was not only a great pilot, also a friend and a big supporter of the Oldtimer meeting at Hahnweide. His experience and his humorous style were always a bonus for us. Marc, we will never forget you and you will always be a part of Hahnweide.

Our thoughts are with his family and friends.

Dear Fans Of The Oldtimer Fliegertreffen! 

The team of Fliegergruppe Wolf Hirth e.V. cordially welcome you to their brand-new web site of the Oldtimer Meeting 2016. There’s exactly one year to go for the next meeting to begin. So it isn’t a mere coincidence that we are publishing the new web site today! 

In the forthcoming year all the relevant information about the OTT16 Meeting will be presented here as it was the case in the past. Believe it or not, things are gathering momentum at a fast pace, and we like that. But let us not forget to give you a brief introduction as to what the OTT 16 Meeting is. The Meeting is completely being organized and staged on a voluntary basis, as in previous years. And this wouldn’t be possible without a great deal of optimism, humor, and idealism. Most of you know about this, and give us  a fantastic feed-back, which motivates us and encourages us. Thank you ever so much!. 

 Basically we are in no way different from you. We are enthusiastic about flying. A mixed bunch: some of us like the noisy birds, others the silence of sailplanes. And of course there are those who can’t have enough noise, oil, speed, and cylinder capacity. The real goose-bouts feeling.

And since we are a variedgroup this variety is mirrored in the structure of the Meeting.  A meeting which allows the spectators, pilots, and club members come together on equal terms to celebrate three days long a revival of aviation.  

Please have a bit of patience and allow us to complete the home page and put all information online. For the time being we have confirmation from all branches of aviation, and we guarantee that every-one will find their favorite job!  Pilots who want to apply for coming should wait just a little bit longer; the Entry page will so
