The weather forecast looks interesting:

Weather-day3

There is a lot of humidity in the air and the thermal conditions are very moderate. Nevertheless, the competition organisers would like to try everything to achieve a successful 1st competition day for at least three classes.

 day3

Good morning dear participants of the Hahnweide competition! After a wonderful sunny evening yesterday, the sky looks promising this morning. Will the weather god surprise us with a flyable competition day? We can be very curious!

Our meteorologist Jupp will probably be the most popular person at the airfield this morning.

Vintage glider over the Hahnweide
Sunday, 14. May 2023 - 17:42

After today was canceled for the competition, the sun appeared for a few hours. In addition to the takeoffs and landings of some modern competition gliders, the spectators could also marvel at two real old-timer rarities in the sky.

vintage-1

GÖ1 "Wolf" built in 1937.

vintage-2

Gö-4

GÖ4 III, built in 1952.

The vintage gliders are from the "Fliegenden Museeum Hahnweide" (FMH) located at the airfield.
