On today's 1st day of the competition, Lord Mayor Dr. Pascal Bader attended the pilot briefing. His entertaining and humorous greetings to all participants as well as pointing out bad weather programs within the aviation city Kirchheim Teck has received great applause.

As a gesture of thanks, competition director Kilian Grefen, together with the president of the Fliegergruppe Wolf Hirth, Norman Baum and Tilo Holighaus, CEO of the company Schempp-Hirth Flugzeugbau, presented one of the pilots' gifts.

It is a FridayBOX, a sturdy folding box made of wood with a branded competition logo, which can be folded to save space and thus fits in any car or plane trailer.

Due to the low chance for a flyable weather window, the competition day 1 has been cancelled for all classes.

We wish all participants a pleasant rest day.

Pilots have the possibility to do a check flight if needed. This will be organized - if desired - on runway 13. Whoever has a need, please contact the sports director Rainer.

 Good morning dear participants to the 1st day of the contest!

The sky is still overcast. Also Teck Castle is still sleeping in the clouds.

The pilot briefing will start at 10 am. Please remember not to drive on the wet grass with your car.

We ask the remaining pilots, who did not have a pilot portrait made for our homepage yesterday, to contact Kathrin directly after the briefing. Thank you very much!

Dear competition participants,

please leave the trailers of the open and double-seater class parked outside until further notice. We will inform you in good time as soon as the trailers can be moved to the designated parking areas on the airfield.

 Dear competition participants,
due to the very wet ground we have to reorganize the stands for the trailers. Please be sure to follow the arrangement shown in the picture.

  Dear Contestants,

the intense rainfalls of the last weeks are causing us big problems. Currently we cannot mow the area where the trailers are to be parked. In the deep, wet ground of the runway we are currently unable to perform aerotows. Therefore we have to cancel the training days.

Hello dear HWW participants,
only a few (rainy) days left until the start of the Hahnweide competition. As you can see on the picture - the podium is waiting - we are prepared :-)
For those flying on the training days: please come to the briefing in our hall at 10am. Wednesday and Thursday please park the trailers in the trailer field behind the last hall. From Thursday afternoon trailers can be parked in the south of the field.  From Wednesday on, the access road to the camping site will also be open. Please register at the Briefinghalle.
Please do not drive your cars on the runway. We still have flight operations of the motorised flight school.
